In 2020 and in the following years there are still high growth opportunities for cross-border B2C e-commerce sales.

EUROPE`S CROSS-BORDER B2C E-COMMERCE 2020

MARKET REPORT

The proportion of online shoppers in Europe who shop in webshops in other countries has risen significantly over the last ten years and was almost 50% in 2019.

Nevertheless, there is still room for further growth. Cross-border B2C e-commerce sales in Europe are expected to grow at a double-digit rate until at least 2022.

Among the top destinations for cross-border online shopping mentioned in the report are China and the US, the UK, Germany and France.

As a result, marketplaces and online merchants from these countries have been ranked as the most important cross-border e-commerce platforms, such as AliExpress, ASOS, eBay, Fnac, Zalando and Wish.
